The added side load created by driving most superchargers adds a great deal of stress to the harmonic damper and crank snout (pulling on the damper). A stock-dimension Oldsmobile V8 harmonic damper can split in the keyways when driving a supercharger. Increasing the O.D. of the harmonic damper where it passes through the oil seal provides a great improvement in strength for the damper and crankshaft. A 2.250" oil seal dimension is used on this damper to increase strength where it is needed most.
Requires Larger I.D. SKF part number 22328 Oil Seal (fits stock timing cover)
